Thought of the Month
Carry three grades of Inventories:
Inventory (not at all required by any one) lying inherited with us, for long time, to be disposed off.
Inventory (Useful and required , But not for current Production). We carry these due to procurement lead time and inefficiency. To reduce we need to improve these two factors.
Inventory ( useful and required for current production) . We carry these equal to production lead time and in efficiency.
Inventory management is all about effective management of all these three categories of inventory.
